About Us

Hand-poured peace, born from a moment I almost lost myself.

For over two decades, I worked in healthcare — showing up every day for patients, families, and my team. When the pandemic hit, everything changed. I was working long hours on the front lines, carrying the weight of fear, loss, and responsibility. I kept pushing through it… until my mind, body, and spirit couldn’t carry it anymore.

Burnout hit me hard.

Not just “tired” — but depleted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from myself.

In the middle of that darkness, I realized something had to change. I stepped back from the career that had shaped me for years, not because I didn’t care, but because I needed to save myself this time.

That’s when I found light again — literally.

I bought wax, wicks, and a few scents… and I poured my first candle. What I didn’t expect was the way the process slowed my breathing, quieted my thoughts, and made me feel present again. Candle-making became my therapy, my escape, and eventually… my purpose.

BLK Candle Company was created from that healing.

Every candle I pour is intentional — a blend of peace, scent, and emotion. I want my products to feel like a deep breath, a reset, a soft reminder that you deserve calm, too.

As a former healthcare worker and a mental health advocate, I believe in creating things that support the soul. This brand is more than candles — it’s a safe place, a sanctuary, a moment of stillness in a world that rarely slows down.
